switch gears

Let's switch gears for a moment, and have a post that has nothing to do with REMODELING!!

Let's talk about Thanksgiving!

In less than a month now, Chris, Aspen, and I will be heading up to St. Louis for our week-long Thanksgiving trip! I am looking so forward to this...even more so now, because I just realized how close it is!

I love our trips up there...

I get to spend much-needed time with my mom...it gives us the opportunity to get to know Randy better...we get to visit with family and friends that I don't see very often...I get to show off my home town by taking Chris and Aspen to different tourist things each trip...I get to be all organized and plan the whole trip and make a nifty little "trip itinerary" calendar...

I've been looking online to see what fun things we can do this trip. We've narrowed it down to a few ideas:

:: McDonalds Paddleboat on the Mississippi River
:: Visit Forest Park, which would offer us many things to see: the art museum, the Turtle Park of statues, the Jewel Box, the Zoo
:: The Loop and eat at Blueberry Hill
:: Old St. Charles and eat at Lewis & Clark

I'm looking forward to our trip...and Ocho will be joining us! We'll see how well Ocho and Roxy get along...could be very interesting...

I was thinking about Thanksgiving yesterday as well! WOW! It is hard to believe it is so close!

I am excited that you guys will be able to make the trip up north again this year. Enjoy every minute of it!

I thought about Thanksgiving and Christmas the other day. During the process of freaking out that we'll have another child in just over 3 months and all there is to be done before she arrives....and that holiday festivities are going to definitely cut into our prep time. Especially since we're having my entire family down for Thanksgiving...what was I thinking??

Also, I need more "grown-up" time. When you mentioned Blueberry Hill, a Dora episode instantly came to mind. Grrr....
