love birds

I've been meaning to dedicate a post to these beauties, but never remember to take the photo! Tonight, I remembered...

While my mom was here for her week-long visit, I took off work most of the days and we tooled around town. Hit a few of the cute shops, and one that she remembered from her last visit was Jordan Taylor. It's a store broken into two sections: cute chotzkes and decorations on one side, and then three floors of very pricey furniture on the other. We stopped in and looked around, and then she actually wanted to look at the furniture which surprised me. We briskly walked through, and then I determined to have a pit stop before leaving the store...

Then, we met up again, and headed back out onto the sidewalk. It took me a few minutes to realize that she was carrying a beautifully wrapped gift bag from the store. Hmmm.

When Chris returned home from his business trip a few days later, mom presented us with the beautiful bag as a "thank you" gift for bringing her down to visit...and inside were these gorgeous birdies.

They are perfect for a number of reasons...

1) Their slate blue color is a perfect match for our bedroom decorations, and look perfect up on our shelf above the bed. The shelf displays a number of our wedding photos, as well as the little Swarkovski crystal wedding cake she gave us for our 3rd anniversary. The birds were the final addition and now it is complete.

2) Chris and I share a special love, that my mom notices and comments on...so love birds were a perfect representation of us...

3) I have a fetish with birds! Not live birds, but decorations and scrapbook supplies, etc. So cute! Loving them.
