mom's visit, winding down

Today is Sunday, Mom's last day here...boo!! I'll be taking her to the airport in the morning before heading to work, and then she will travel home and life will go back to normal. No more relaxation for me :(

We've had such a nice visit though and I am so glad that she was able to come spend almost a week with us! Below is a batch of photos from her time here...

Proof that Poppy and Mom bonded while she was here...this is NO SMALL FEAT what you are witnessing in this photo. She has never given anyone besides the four people in my house any sort of chance. Here she is actually laying in mom's lap while we watched the basketball game. Crazy.

One day, me, mom and Aspen went to Mimi's beauty school to have our nails done! What a treat!

We gave mom her souveneir from Israel...a beautiful pashmina and a Jerusalem dish!

While mom was here, we grilled out and did a "birthday party"...where mom celebrated everyone's birthdays all at once. She gave me a beautiful glass plaque for the wall...Chris a White Castle candle...Aspen a pretty turquoise watch...Mimi a dainty pink scarf...Ocho and Poppy some cute toys...and she even brought Kevin a little piece of St. Louis (a Ram's hat!)

Aspen gave Kevin his graduation gift, which was a Winkflash book she had created of all their favorite photos. I think he liked it!
