relaxing with mom

We are having fun with mom! So glad she is here...

:: Yesterday, we relaxed all morning and then when Aspen got home from work (she is babysitting from 8-1 every day Monday-Thursday), we went bumming around town. We went to Target so I could return a rug and get a different one...and we shopped around there for a bit. I found a great workout tank, and Aspen found a swimsuit. From there, we went to the mall and mom found some cute black shoes at Dillards. We had a pretzel snack and chatted for a bit, and then decided to head home because the sky got very dark and the wind picked up a lot. Another storm was blowing in. It passed pretty quickly, and wasn't nearly as bad as the one we had a few days ago, thankfully. Then I went up to work to do zumba at 5:15, and worked off some calories :) Fun fun. Made beef stroganoff for dinner, and then we all played yahtzee...a very good day.

:: Today, Chris and I ran when we woke up and then we sat on the back porch and talked, enjoyed the breeze and shade, and relaxed. Relaxing is so nice!!! Mom, Aspen and I went to Mimi's school for a 1:30 appointment -- we all three got manicures! Aspen got bright yellow, I got sparkly purple, and mom took her own pink polish so it would match her toes. And then we went to have a treat at Sonic! A good girl's day. Now we are relaxing some more, and then I'll be making buttermilk chicken, roasted broccoli/cauliflower, and olive quinoa for dinner.

So thankful for vacation time!
