monday madness

:: Back to work, back to work...it was a good Monday on this end, for the most part. Got some things checked off my to do list, yay!

:: Went to the nurse practitioner at work today. I'm pretty sure I had a sinus infection, then went from Abilene climate to Chicago climate, dealt with cabin pressure and germy plane cabins, and came home to develop a cold. She gave me a shot in her office, then prescribed antibiotics and a cough medicine to help me sleep. I felt better just a few hours after my shot. Thankfully. Chris is ready for me to start sleeping better I am sure. When I am snotty, no one sleeps good!

:: Went out at noon to leave for work, and click click click...battery dead. So weird, cars really need to have some kind of a warning light when the battery is getting weak. I am so thankful that it didn't happen to us while we were in Dallas, that would have been much worse! Luckily, Neeley came out and was able to jump it for me, and I drove home. Switched over to Chris' new truck and drove that back. It rides very nicely, but man it is huge!! When Chris got in after work and I was driving, he said I looked like a midget!! Trust me, no one has ever told me THAT before.

:: I've been listening to the newest John Mayer album at work lately, and I think it is so good. I typically can't listen to music at work, it makes my skin crawl. But his voice is soothing to me. One song is called "Love is a Verb" and man, ain't that the truth!!?

:: Watching The Voice -- I love this show, but one thing -- during these battle rounds, they should be giving every single contestant the same amount of air time. Instead, they do very long back stories on half of them, and then we get to watch them battle. The other half we just see a very very quick snippet of just a bit of the battle, no back story, and that's it. It's like they are building America up to know half the contestants better, so when the show gets serious they don't know anything about the others. Hmmm.

:: I've got my Halloween costume all ready, I believe. Just need to figure out how to do my hair :) I am actually off on Friday, when we are having the Halloween costume contest/luncheon. But, my team talked me into coming up for lunch anyway, since that is when the costume voting will be happening. So, that will be fun. Granny, did you find a photo on google of what I told you we were going to be?? :)

:: I am scheduled for an hour massage Saturday morning!!! Can't wait!!!!
