on the cusp of a new week

A three day weekend is wrapping up here...Chris and I were off on Friday. Love three days!

:: Friday, Chris worked on finishing up the painting of the theater room. I puttered around and did a few things, and then went up to work at noon for the employee luncheon. I got ready in my costume and enjoyed being a part of our group costume :) Photos are at work, I'll get them tomorrow so that I can share them here!! We ended up winning best department costume! So we get to enjoy a catered pizza luncheon!!! After the luncheon, we had a good afternoon and then went for catfish that evening. All in all a very good day. Aspen went to the football game.

:: Saturday, I started the day off with a massage! All that was so nice! I had received a gift certificate (either my birthday or Christmas) and finally made the appointment. She used hot stones on me, so that was new! I really liked it, it added a whole new level to the relaxation. I just had her focus on my back, shoulders and neck, since that is where my stress settles in. I'm ready for my next one!! After that, I picked up some Rosa's for lunch and Chris finished up the painting while I cleaned my closet and did some odds and ends. Aspen worked and then went to her friend's house to get ready for their big Halloween party. One of the senior guys hosted a party for the entire senior class at the country club, complete with chaparones. Aspen went as a flapper, photo below. She looked cute, and had a good time. Saturday evening, Chris and I went to a "reveal party" for our friends Addison and Charlee. That was a got of fun! No one knew the sex of the baby, and they had cupcakes makes with cake in either pink or blue. They pulled back the cupcake wrapper and showed pink cake!!! They were both super surprised because everyone thought for sure that it was going to be a boy.

:: Sunday, we went to church and class, then I ran some errands and Chris/Aspen mowed the yard. Chris ran 13 miles for his workout, and I was able to get a run in too. Now I'm about to make some pizza to go with the cake I made for supper :) Then...WALKING DEAD!!!!!
